Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana was originally meant to be released today, however NIS America has announced that the game has been delayed. According to the team, the game was delayed due to continued efforts in improving its gameplay quality.
Now I’m pretty sure that some of you will be wondering whether NIS America has delayed the game in order to implement the Denuvo anti-tamper tech, similarly to what SEGA did with Sonic Mania. Well, that doesn’t seem to be the case here as Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will also be released on GOG and will be DRM-free.
As NIS America stated:
“We sincerely apologize to our fans who have been looking forward to this release. Ultimately, our goal is for fans to enjoy a high-quality game. We are providing the extra care in the PC development of the game by taking time to enhance the overall quality of gameplay.”
NIS America will announce a new release date for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana as soon as it is available!
