Starbreeze has agreed to acquire Valhalla, a next generation game engine under development with its related technology and tools. The acquisition is to be paid for with approx. 3.3 million shares (before the suggested A/B split and 1:2 issue of new A-shares) equivalent to approx. 73 MSEK at current share price and corresponding to approx. 2,25% of the share capital post acquisition. Bladestorm Nightmare – PC Version Based On Current-Gen Version, Graphics To Exceed PS4 Quality

Tecmo Koei revealed today that the PC version of Bladestorm will be released on May 29th on Steam. Moreover, the publisher confirmed that the PC version is based on the current-gen version, and that its visuals will be above those found on PS4 (provided you have the appropriate hardware). Kholat – Unreal Engine 4 Exploration First Person Horror Experience – Gets Launch Trailer

IMGN.PRO has released the launch trailer for Kholat. Kholat is an exploration game with strong elements of horror, inspired by the true story of nine Russian students who died in unexplained circumstances in north of the Ural Mountains on the east shoulder of Kholat Syakhl. The Witcher’s Combat System Was Inspired By Summoner, E3 2004 Build Showcased

YouTube’s member ‘ryslaw’ has shared a video, showcasing the E3 2004 build of the first The Witcher game. As ryslaw revealed, the game’s combat mechanics were inspired by another RPG called Summoner (in which you could chain attacks). This version was powered by the Aurora Engine that was used in Neverwinter Nights. It looks cool, so be sure to check it out.
