According to the publisher, the new screenshots represent an important step forward in the Sherlock Holmes investigation series. Developed by Frogwares, the switch to Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 from the in-house game engine has produced a far richer, more immersive and detailed rendering of the environments and characters. Enjoy! Man, it’s been three whole years since the release of Infinity’s tech demo. Back in 2010, I-Novae Studios made a lot of heads turn with the spectacular Infinity tech video that showcased the seamless planetary engine that was powering it. And since then, nothing. Back in 2012, we informed you about the team’s plans for a Kickstarter campaign and although that campaign has not been launched yet, I-Novae Studios released a new trailer for its title that can be viewed below. While the game runs better than its PS4 and Xbox One cousins, it does not take advantage of more than two CPU cores. On the other hand, its GPU requirements are off the charts and if that wasn’t enough, Nvidia and Ubisoft are preparing a PhysX patch for it. Nvidia has announced that an incoming patch will add some new PhysX effects in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. According to the green team, this patch will introduce APEX Particles that are manipulated by external forces such as gravity, wind, character movement, and explosions, courtesy of the APEX Turbulence system.
