AMD’s Mantle Does NOT Require GPUs With GCN Architecture
Okay, I’m pretty sure that both AMD and DICE have been misleading people on purpose these past weeks regarding Mantle. That, or they decided to ditch Mantle’s GCN-architecture requirement, something that seems highly unlikely. During AMD’s Developer Summit, Johan Andersson confirmed that Mantle is not tied to AMD’s GCN architecture, meaning that there isn’t such requirement. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – Update 1.01 Leaked – Adds 4K Monitor Support, Improves Performance
Surprise surprise – the PC version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has been leaked online. And as most people would suspect, Ubisoft has included a day-one patch for it. According to the release notes, this patch will update your version to 1.01 and comes with improved multi-GPU support, major performance increase in Multiplayer and the addition of 4k monitors support.
