You know what? I seriously don’t understand game developers. No seriously, I don’t. What’s the point of creating a PC game when it cannot take advantage of more than three CPU cores? Hell, I would understand that if a game did not stress the CPU. What happens though when a graphics option hits the CPU hard, causing low performance that could have been easily avoided with proper multi-core support (or you know, by letting the GPU actually handle that setting)? Ah, the time has finally come and Machinima has posted the first episode of the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat web-series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy II. In this first episode, Liu Kang gets into a drunken fight in a seedy Macau bar with the local gangsters. Kung Lao appears after a while and comes to his rescue, and the two have a tumultuous reunion. Now I’d love to see Sub-Zero and Scorpion in the next episode, but who knows what the team has in store for us. Obviously I haven’t watched the it till its end yet (so there might be a preview for its next episode… or not). [UPDATE: Holy bloody hell. The entire season is available from the get-go. Now here is some good news for all our space combat fans. Cloud Imperium’s Star Citizen, the amazing space combat title that is powered by CRYENGINE, has reached $20 million. Seriously now, there is nothing stopping this thing. The next funding goal is at $21 million, and we are pretty sure that it will be able to hit that too. Moreover, Cloud Imperium released a new trailer for Star Citizen – that was showcased yesterday during AMD’s event – and can be viewed below. Yes yes, it looks gorgeous but we’ll have to wait a little bit more until we get our hands on a build featuring dogfights (or should I say spacefights). Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in which actor Matt Ryan introduces us to some of the main characters we will meet in the game. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag tells the story of Edward Kenway, a young British man with a thirst for danger and adventure, who falls from privateering for the Royal Navy into piracy as the war between the major Empires comes to an end. Now this is a surprise. Railsimulator.com has released the launch trailer of Train Simulator 2014 that is narrated by fans favourite Eddard ‘Ned’ Stark (Game Of Thrones) and Boromir (LOTR), Sean Bean. Of course the game may not be up to what PC gamers can expect from a 2013 title, but then again Train Simulator always targeted a specific niche. Codemasters has released a new trailer for its upcoming F1 Formula racing game, F1 2013, featuring Emerson Fittipaldi’s hotlap at the Brands Hatch circuit in 1986. F1 2013 aims to give FORMULA 1 fans the chance to compete against legendary drivers in cars from different eras of FORMULA ONE with a range of classic content from the 1980s.
