Electronic Arts has confirmed that the open beta phase of Battlefield 4 will begin on October 1st on all platforms (PC, X360 and PS3). According to the publisher, the open beta will offer players the chance to try out Conquest mode on Siege of Shanghai. A while back, Crytek released a tech demo trailer for CRYENGINE, showcasing the features that are being supported in its latest build. There is no denying that the most ‘wow-ish’ feature that Crytek shown in its tech demo was the procedural GPGPU weather effects. Codemasters has released a new trailer for its upcoming F1 racing game, F1 2013, showcasing the 1976 Ferrari 312 T2. The 1976 Ferrari 312 T2 is an exclusive free gift to all those that sign up to Codemasters RaceNet and will be drivable in F1 2013’s Time Trial mode. F1 2013 will feature a Classics game mode that will be introduced by legendary broadcaster Murray Walker and that will allow players to race iconic 1980s cars from Williams, Lotus and Ferrari against drivers including Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi and Gerhard Berger. Milestone and Vostok Games released new screenshots for WRC 4 and Survarium, respectively. Survarium is an online massive multiplayer shooter with first-person view. The events take place in the near future in the aftermath of an ecological catastrophe, in a world where only one man out of a hundred survived.
