Electronic Arts and DICE have released a new trailer for Battlefield 4, in which the teams compare a real life skyscraper collapsing with the in-game one that made everyone’s head turn in the recent live demonstrations of DICE’s upcoming shooter. Battlefield 4 promises to feature dynamic and destructible environments with epic vehicle battles and huge battlefields. The game is planned for an October 31st release on PC, X360 and PS3, and will arrive on next-gen consoles at a later date. Enjoy! Drunken Lizard Games has released a new video update for its upcoming indie MP FPS parkour title, No Heroes. According to the team, the latest build of its game features a completely new player skeleton and all new animations for players and weapons, first person character shadows, improved transitions between animations,a redesigned menu with improved functionality, improved overall sound and volume, additional detail to the island and the ability to jump walls. Devolver Digital has released a new trailer for Shadow Warrior, showing off some of the game’s under-appreciated features. Shadow Warrior is a reimagining of the classic 3D Realms’ shooter from independent developer Flying Wild Hog – creators of Hard Reset – starring the legendary and quick-witted warrior Lo Wang. AMD has released a new set of beta drivers for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the AMD Catalyst 13.10 Beta come with CrossFire performance improvements in Total War: Rome 2, Saints Row 4 and Metro: Last Light. In addition, AMD has included a number of frame pacing improvements for Tomb Raider, Metro Last Light, Sniper Elite, World of Warcraft, Max Payne 3 and Hitman Absolution. Our dear friends over at PCGamesHardware have created an interesting comparison between the alpha and the retail version of Total War: Rome II. As we can clearly see, the alpha version had a specific color grading effect that is missing from the retail version. Not only that, but the whole lighting system seems better in the alpha version. To be honest, the retail version feels a bit bland in some scenes, so we don’t know what had gone wrong with it. HDR and bloom effects also seem better enhanced in the alpha version. Moreover, it comes as no surprise that the first set of screenshots for Rome 2 were bullcraps (in short, photoshopped) and nothing more. Enjoy the video below! Ubisoft has released a 10 minute gameplay walkthrough for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, in which game Director Ashraf Ismail takes us on a tour of the Caribbean and its many locations to explore.
