Today, Ubisoft announced that Anno 2070 Deep Ocean, the add-on to Anno 2070, will release on October 4th, 2012. With over 5 million sales worldwide since its first release, Anno is one of Ubisoft’s best-selling franchises and an award-winning strategy brand. Its latest iteration, Anno 2070, shifted to the future for the first time in the series, offering an island of new technologies and challenges for the player to manage, along with a deep economic system and a dynamic game world. Diablo III Hits 10 Million Registered Players – WoW Drops To 9.1 Million Subscribers

Activision has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2012. According to the reports, Diablo III has managed to sell 8.8 million copies for the six months of its release and more than 10 million players have entered the world of Sanctuary. On the other hand, World of Warcraft’s subscribers number has dropped from 10.2 million to 9.1 million. An impressive number, nonetheless, but this drop is definitely something that worries both Blizzard and Activision. Perhaps the upcoming release of Mists of Pandaria will boost the game’s numbers. MechWarrior Online – Atlas Trailer

Piranha Games has released a new trailer for its upcoming free-to-play mecha game, MechWarrior Online, that concentrates on the Atlas mech. Weighing in at 100 tons, boasting a small ‘Mechs weight in armour, and having two small ‘Mechs worth of weaponry, the Atlas is truly an awe inspiring sight. John Carmack Speaks: 30fps on consoles, 60fps on the PC – Doom 3 levels more taxing than RAGE’s

John Carmack has just revealed in QuakeCon 2012 what we knew all this time. Remember when we were claiming that Doom 3 modded looked better than RAGE? Well, the man himself said that Doom 3 levels were more taxing than the ones of RAGE, especially due to the stencil shadows and its more complex lighting system. This clearly shows that RAGE was dumbed down and was not developed in order to achieve what Doom 3 did a couple of years ago. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dawnguard Achievements Spotted On Steam [UPDATE]

Great news for Skyrim fans as Dawnguard’s achievements have been spotted on Skyrim’s Steam page. According to the detail section of Skyrim’s page, there are currently ten more Achievements, although they are currently unobtainable. Could this mean that Dawnguard is on its way to the PC version of Skyrim? Let’s not forget that Bethesda’s Pete Hines tweeted – a couple of days ago – that the company will unveil more details about the PC and PS3 versions of Dawnguard in the coming days. Alongside the press release for Mass Effect 3’s upcoming DLC, BioWare released the first screenshots for it. Mass Effect 3: Leviathan is currently planned for a Summer release on all platforms. Since the company did not reveal any exclusivity contracts, we can assume that it will come simultaneously on X360, PS3 and PC. Battlefield 3: Armored Kill – Two New Screenshots Unveiled

Electronic Arts has unveiled two new screenshots from Armored Kill, the new expansion of Battlefield 3 that is scheduled for release this September. Battlefield 3: Armored Kill will feature a host of exclusive in-game content, new vehicles, assignments, as well as the biggest Battlefield map, called Bandar Desert. Bandar Desert is stretching as far as 1,900 meters from U.S. to Russian deployment, not counting the airstrip at the very end of the ground forces combat area. Enjoy the screenshots after the jump!
