Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed 3 that focuses on the AnvilNext Engine that powers it. According to the company, in the heart of Assassin’s Creed III, lies a radically redesigned game engine they call AnvilNext. This proprietary technology renders seamless worlds of nearly infinite possibilities. Assassin’s Creed 3 is currently planned for an October 31st release on X360, PS3 and PC. Enjoy! Gala Networks Europe announced that SEVENCORE, it’s fusion fantasy MMORPG developed by the Korean studio Noria, will commence Open Beta testing today on French and German servers. Electronic Arts has released a new gameplay trailer for Criterion’s upcoming Need For Speed game.Quite frankly, we don’t understand why the company decided to use the same title (for God’s sake, there are now three NFS: Most Wanted titles) but, whatever. Anyway, this is a classic modern-day trailer with dubstep and various gameplay sequences from the game. It looks awful and will make you dizzy. Perhaps that was EA’s goal? Who knows. Stompy Bot Productions and Dream Pod 9 have announced the exclusive licensing of Dream Pod 9’s Heavy Gear franchise for PC, mobile and console 3D gaming to Stompy Bot Productions. The Heavy Gear franchise has released dozens of sourcebooks detailing the settings, people, and machines of the Heavy Gear universe. The first Heavy Gear computer game, titled Heavy Gear, saw light in 1997 and its sequel, Heavy Gear II, was released in 1999. An animated series was also aired in 2001. The Heavy Gear game line includes an innovative mix of RPG/wargame books, card games, miniatures and other products.
