Back in October, Overhaul Games released the HD version of MDK 2 that featured 10 levels, 20 enemies, brand new HD graphics, enhanced audio and tweaked gameplay. Wolfire Games has revealed the changes that have been made to its action adventure brawler’s latest alpha version. This week, David Rosen added support for multiple mission objectives, mission objectives for visiting hotspots, must-visit hotspot, victory hotspot and a scriptable UI system separate from level script. In addition, David improved the challenge level selector screen and fixed a problem with missing image files. Those interested can pre-order Overgrowth and gain access to its alpha versions. Sony Online Entertainment has released two new playthrough videos for some of Bullet Run’s maps. Bullet Run is a team-based multiplayer game that puts players in the ultimate reality TV game show, where contestants showcase their deadly talents in the name of fame. Developed by ACONY Games and available later this summer for the PC, Bullet Run promises to bring the best elements of the FPS genre together with unique levels of immersion and character progression, creating a fully-customizable, persistent gaming experience. Piranha Games has released a new trailer for their upcoming free-to-play online FPS, MechWarrior Online, that showcases a new map called ‘Caustic Valley.’ Set in the year 3049 during the early stages of a massive interstellar war, MechWarrior Online puts you in command of the most powerful war machine to ever walk the field of battle. Bethesda has revealed the changelog of Skyrim’s upcoming 1.7 update. This new patch comes with memory and stability optimizations, as well as fixes for a crash related to new water shaders and another rare crash related to dragon landings. Furthermore, the beta version of this update is now available on Steam and can be downloaded. Players will have to log into Steam, click on Steam in the upper menu, select Settings, go to the Beta Participation section (that is under the Account tab) and select Change, select Skyrim Beta from the drop down menu and select OK. So you thought that Diablo III’s Inferno difficulty is hard? Well, time to show these demos who the boss really is. Diablo III players have discovered an exploit that makes the Wizard characters immortals. All players will have to do is Select Teleport – Fracture (rune), Select Archon – Arcane Destruction (rune), Hover their mouse over their character and Press Teleport and quickly after press Archon. We assume we are not the only ones believing that DLC is the cancer of gaming and should be eradicated as soon as possible. You see, back in the days developers provided users with modding tools to create their own content and share it with other players. But since the introduction of this DLC crap, we’ve been getting unimpressive and cash-in additional contents, with some of them being cut from the actual games. And it seems that Ubisoft will be investing on this whole DLC thing as they have dedicated a whole dev team to it. Crytek and Electronic Arts have been really open to the free-to-play idea and EA’s Chief Executive, John Riccitiello, decided to explain why his company is so friendly to this particular model. Riccitiello believes that PC is the fastest growing platform for video games and that there’s a lot of power in free-to-play.
