The Secret World – Update 1.0.1 Released

Funcom and Electronic Arts have released a new patch for their third-person MMORPG, The Secret World. This update fixes one hell of issues and bugs, fixes a visual issue where blood effects while using magic abilities would show green or orange square textures, increases the size of pets, improves the Hammer sounds, and tweaks the GUI. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is coming to the big screen

Great news for Deus Ex fans, as Square Enix and CBS films have plans for a movie adaptation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Although we don’t have enough information about it, we do know that CBS Films has secured film rights to the cyberpunk franchise and that EIDOS will be be working closely with CBS to bring the series to the big screen. Dead Space 3 – Official First Gameplay Trailer

Electronic Arts has released the first official gameplay trailer of Dead Space 3. Narrated by Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis, players will get an in-depth look at how Isaac and his partner Carver will work their way through the frozen planet of Tau Volantis. Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 – Game Modes (Episode 1)

As promised, Konami has released a new video for Pro Evolution Soccer 2013. In the first episode of its new video series showcasing the features and contents of PES 2013, Konami takes us on a tour through the different modes of the game. Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is scheduled for a Fall 2012 release on PS3, X360, PC, PSP, PS2, 3DS and Wii. We also expect to see a demo of it around September, so stay tuned for more. Enjoy! Crytek is currently focusing on DX11, leaked documents from its private E3 2012 presentation

A while back, we informed you about the day-one DX11 support of Crysis 3. Naturally, PC gamers were a bit sceptical about it as Crytek had stated that very same thing for Crysis 2. However, things are a bit different this time around as the studio is currently focusing on the DX11 features of CryEngine 3. During this year’s E3, Crytek held a VIP tech presentation in which they showcased the DX11 features that will be implemented in CryEngine 3. Rockstar is closing its Vancouver – Max Payne 3 – studio, expands its Toronto studio

Rockstar Games today announced that it is expanding its development capabilities in Toronto, and has opened a larger, new, custom-built facility in Oakville, Ontario for the Rockstar Toronto team. The studio expansion is being supported by the Ontario government. Financial details were not disclosed. In conjunction with the expansion, Rockstar Games is moving its 35-person Vancouver-based development team to the new facility over the next six months, and is offering all members of that team the opportunity to join Rockstar Toronto or take positions in other Rockstar studios. This is undeniably the best fan-made trailer of Far Cry 3

Now this. This is F’ing brilliant. This is how game trailers should be made. YouTube’s member ‘Jimmie Russell’ created an amazing fan-made trailer for Ubisoft’s upcoming FPS title, Far Cry 3. Obviously, Russell got tired of all the dubstep music that accompanies the latest game trailers and decided to dub a scene from Far Cry 3’s E3 demo. Project Copernicus Trailer Leaked

Now this reminds me of what happened with Duke Nukem Forever. When 3D Realms shut down, some screenshots, artworks and a trailer got leaked online. Well, the same thing is now happening for Project Copernicus, 38 Studios’ MMO version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. There aren’t currently any plans for any other studio opting it and finishing, but as they say – there is always hope. Question is whether we want another MMORPG or not. Enjoy! Xbox 720 leaked specs; 6x times more powerful, Kinect V2.0 and Kinect Glasses

We don’t usually share news about consoles, but since we got a lot of mails about it, we felt the need to write about the leaked specs of the next Xbox console that were revealed back in June. In case you’re unaware of, a PDF document with Xbox 720’s specs got leaked and Microsoft was quick enough to react and take it down. According to that sheet, Xbox 720 will be 4x-6x times more powerful than Xbox 360, will have Next-Gen Sensors (Kinect V2.0 and Glasses), will be packed with a Blu-Ray drive, and will feature video acceleration capabilities.
