Okay, now that was unexpected. Mapper Chrome235 has revealed a screenshot that showcases how Mordor and LOTR would look like in CryEngine 3. This is basically an artwork – or a wallpaper – that borrows some assets from the movies. In other words, this is not a custom map. Still, it’s pretty amazing and makes us wish for a LOTR game, powered by Crytek’s engine. I seriously can’t believe that this cover of Battlefield 3’s main theme has passed unnoticed. And you can bet your ass that everyone would be talking about it in case it was done by a girl. This new update comes with lots of fixes, a reworked wall system to prevent small sections of wall remaining after deleting walls, resolves various crashes, as well as the addition of Patrol for troops and Barracks’ Assembly Points. Bad news: Aliens: Colonial Marines was supposed to be released this Spring and is now delayed to Fall 2012. Good news: SEGA has released a new drooling cinematic teaser trailer for it. The game is developed by Gearbox and I’ll be honest with you; the gameplay footage that was shown last year was underwhelming and generic as hell.
