Okay STALKER 2 fans, here is something that might make you happy and start jumping around your room. GSC GameWorld has tweeted that we’ll get some official news in mid January and that “there is cause for hope”. Which basically translates to “Hey, there is a chance we might not close and STALKER 2 might not get cancelled”. Make no mistake though. Yeah, it seems that there is light at the end of GSC’s tunnel but for all we know, this message could be GSC’s attempt at damage control, so hold your horses. For now at least. Rocksteady is working on a new PC patch for Batman: Arkham City

It seems that Rocksteady is currently working on a new PC patch for Batman: Arkham City, as Steam had accidentally released yesterday its preliminary version. So, if you were unlucky enough to try and play your game, you’d notice major game-breaking issues. Moreover, GFWL was not working properly with that preliminary patch and the game was – pretty much – unplayable. Alan Wake PC will support DX9; more details about its game engine

Back in the days, the PC version of Alan Wake – the one that was cancelled – was not supposed to be compatible with DX9 and Windows XP. As we had guessed back then, that DX10 requirement was simply a marketing trick from Microsoft in an attempt to boost Vista’s sales. Fast forward a couple of years and here we are today with a new PC build for Alan Wake that will support DX9. Yeap, you read that right and it’s official. STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl – OGSE 0.6.9.3 Mod will feature improved light sources on static render

The OGSE Team sent us word about a crucial feature that will be implemented in the next version of their OGSE Mod. OGSE 0.6.9.3 will feature improved light sources on static render, which basically means that most of the point light-sources such as lamps, will have “real” lighting on R1 (static) render mode. According to the team, this was accomplished by “adjusting light-source properties in game SDK” and what’s more interesting, is that these light sources will be breakable. Serious Sam 3 – New Patch Released; memory consumption reduced by 50%,performance increased by 30%

Okay, this is how you support your games. Earlier yesterday we’ve informed you about a new update for Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter and Croteam released today a new patch for Serious Sam 3: BFE. This new update comes with lots of additions and fixes and among other things, it features optimized lightning particle effect implementation and optimized render target switching to improve performance on multi-GPU setups. Capcom is currently working on the PC version of SFxT; SSF4AE 2012 coming to the PC in Q1 2012

Great news for PC gamers as Capcom’s Christian Svensson has revealed that the team responsible for the PC versions of Capcom’s fighting games is currently working on Street Fighter x Tekken. This is a great surprise. Why you ask? But because the work in SSF4AE PC had started after the release of the game’s console versions. This means that SFxT PC won’t be delayed as much as SSF4AE. Flatout 3: Chaos Destruction – Third Update Released; Team 6 Shows Impressive Post-Launch Support

Holy Batman, FlatOut 3 has been out for quite a few days and has already received two updates. Two bloody updates and other companies can’t even release one with mere fixes. The previous two updates that got released featured AI difficulty rebalances, car physics properties rebalances, car deformation, improved physics for all cars and the introduction of the ‘Classic’ Mode. In other words, this is the way it’s meant to be. Team 6 sent us word that a new, third update is out now and features some performance optimizations and a brand new Christmas character.
