Okay, I’m a little puzzled here. Although I love animes – still consider Death Note as one of the best animes ever – I’m not fascinated by the idea of an anime movie that is based on BioWare’s RPG, Dragon Age. This movie is produced in co-operation with director Sori, and according to EA, Japanese animes are really popular in North America and that’s precisely why the company decided to make one. Dragon Age: Blood Mage Crusade – as it will be called – is currently slated for a February 11th release and TOEntertainment released a new trailer for it that can be viewed bellow. Enjoy! At last, Croteam’s old-school FPS is finally here with us and it’s time to see how this bad boy performs with a modern-day PC. As usual, we used an overclocked Q9650 at 4.2Ghz, 4GB RAM and a GTX295 with Windows 7 64-Bit and Nvidia’s latest ForceWare drivers. First things first though; we have to congratulate Croteam for all those graphical options that are available. PC gamers can tweak pretty much everything, from the parallax occlusion mapping quality to the textures’ quality and the LOD amount. These are by far the best in-game options we’ve ever seen and every developer should take a good look at them. Continue reading Serious Sam 3: BFE PC Performance Analysis→

Now that’s what we’ve been waiting for. Contrary to the first HD Texture Packs that got released earlier, modder Z4G4 went ahead and re-textured most of them in higher resolution. Now don’t get the wrong impression; these new textures are not the originals, re-touched with noise or any other sharpening tools. No my friends. These are brand new HD textures that are miles better than those of Skyrim vanilla. Or to put it simply; this is how the PC version of Skyrim should look in the first place. Download link and comparison shots are bellow and we dare you; take a good look at them and tell us that you are not impressed. Come on, go ahead, don’t be shy! Ah, Skyrim. Such an amazing game and yet we haven’t covered it in our performance analysis section. There is a reason to that and that’s obviously due to some mods that we are really looking forward to. Then again, our GTX295 is not powerful enough to handle most of the high-resolution textures so we’d be limited by its low vRam. Add to this that Bethesda didn’t send us a review code and that we need to cover first Serious Sam 3 and there you have it. And while most of you are already enjoying this RPG, some modders felt the need to return and overhaul – for one more time – Bethesda’s previous gem. Yeap, that’s right everyone; Morrowind is about to get another big overhaul this Christmas. Continue reading Morrowind Overhaul Version 2.0 Coming This Christmas→
