By now you must have already heard that the DX11 mode of Batman: Arkham City is bugged. However, things are not looking good even for those that want to enjoy Rocksteady’s latest offering with Nvidia’s PhysX effects. Guru3D’s user ‘MfA’ shared some interesting graphs that showcase an enormous performance hit when PhysX effects are enabled. This is something we’ve discussed in the past as Batman: Arkham City doesn’t take advantage of the PhysX SDK 3.0 and MfA’s graphs show exactly what is wrong with all previous PhysX SDK versions. According to Lara, this has been quite a popular request lately and the backing is from Halo 2 (the original tune is one of the best games tunes ever and is from Martin O’Donnell & Michael Salvatori). Now there weren’t any sheets as she played it by ear, so kudos to her. Enjoy the video after the jump. Continue reading Amazing violin cover of the Halo theme by Lara→

Apart from this, the chart is similar to last week’s with one big difference. Batman: Arkham City’s PC version is finally out and has managed to climb immediately at the fourth place. It’s really sad that Black Bean’s and Milestone’s rally racing game has passed under our radar. Somehow though, it’s natural since we’ve been preparing for a hot November and December. However, WRC 2: The Game is a game that will definitely please all rally racing fans. Yeah, this is not Richard Burns Rally but it’s as good as last year’s offer, albeit a little more polished. The driving and physics mechanics are a perfect blend between arcade and sim and far greater than those of the Dirt series. So, here is a video from the Rally d’Italia Sardegna stage that will give you an idea of what WRC 2: The Game is all about. We should note however that the footage is captured in 30fps, so expect it to run smoother and ‘quicker’ in your PC gaming systems. Enjoy!
