At long last, the source code of Doom 3 has finally been released. The source is available for download from various sources and does not contain – obviously – any game data as the game data is still covered by the original EULA and must be obeyed as usual. We should also note that you should have patched your game to the latest version in order to use this source code. Continue reading Doom 3 GPL Source Code Released→
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat MISERY is a mod that promises to overhaul GSC’s first-person shooter. This mod comes with custom textures, a weather system, new sound effects, new difficulty settings, improved AI, reskinned weapons, new items and interface, as well as new menus and loading screens. In other words, this mod is touching and tweaking almost every aspect of the game. MISERY is almost completed (currently at 93% of development) and the team behind it released a huge features list that – part of it – can be viewed after the jump. One of the most annoying things in NFS: The Run – and one of the reasons we haven’t bothered with it for a Performance Analysis – is the fact that the game is capped at 30fps. Some users tried to unlock it but thus far, there hasn’t been any proper/working mod or workaround for it. All hope is not lost though as Executive Producer, Jason DeLong, and Producer, Brian Lindley, of NFS: The Run stated that they might remove this cap in a future patch. Last month, we informed you about the closure of the European servers for Mythos by Frogster. Well, rejoice everyone as Mythos Global is now a reality. Our guess is that Hanbitsoft and Frogster had some arguments about the game’s development and as a result of that, the former publisher decided to shut down its servers. However, Hanbitsoft has partnered with T3Fun and announced today that the highly anticipated dungeon-crawler ARPG Mythos – now renamed to Mythos Global – will hold a four-day closed beta test beginning on December 1st. Beta keys will be distributed by partner sites, so fans should stay tuned for a chance to participate. Continue reading Mythos fans, rejoice; Mythos Global Closed Beta Announced→

By now, most of you will already know that Ubisoft dropped the ball with the PC version of Driver: San Francisco, as that specific version lacks lots of post-processing effects that were present in consoles. Sadly, the company hasn’t released any patch to address this issue but there is seriously no reason to worry as the modding community is here to save the day. Ubisoft’s user ‘Beta_A’ went ahead and used the ‘ENB Series Resident Evil 4 v0074g’ version with Driver: San Francisco and the end result is amazing.
