No More Room in Hell’s development team has just announced – via a video – that their latest Half Life 2 mod will be released this Hallowwen. No More Room in Hell is a free multiplayer mod for Half Life 2 and supports 8 player co-op survival horror gameplay with a focus on semi-realism. The mod was inspired by the “Of The Dead” zombie franchise which is were it gets its namesake and you can view its announcement video after the jump. Wilfred the Hero is coming back to the PC in 2012

Remember an old RPGMaker demo of a game called Wilfred the Hero that was released on the internet more than five years ago. Nope? Doesn’t ring any bells? Well, Wilfred the Hero was a game by Brandon Abley and Teo Mathlein with the initial objective of making a console-style RPG unlike any other created with the RPGMaker engine and tells the story of Wilfred’s quest to save the world, although the game actually begins on the final day of his long journey. Wargaming.net released today five new screenshots for their highly anticipated strategy game, Wargame European Escalation. These new screenshots are the opportunity to see once more the level of detail offered by Wargame, never-before-seen in a real-time strategy game of this scale. DOTA 2 – Massive Update Released

Great news for all DOTA 2 fans that are participating in its beta phase, as Valve has just released a massive new update for it. This update adds a commendation system, which allows players to commend others who made their game a happier experience, and report anyone being hostile. Additionally, there’s a variety of other gameplay additions and fixes, and some improvements to the practice bots. This update will be applied automatically next time you start the Steam client. Shocked; This is a real-time screenshot of a game

I’m shocked. I truly am as I already know that C.A.R.S looks amazing. But this level of detail is simply mind-blowing. This could easily pass as a ‘bullshot’ or a photoshopped picture but no, this is real-time guys. This is what the game looks like in close ups when you are actually driving. This… this is truly the future – graphically speaking – of racing games. And especially the road looks so… real. Yeah, we can finally say that a game looks real. Nuclear Dawn, Dead Island, Team Fortress 2 and Renegade Ops Patches Released

Great news for PC gamers as we got new patches for Nuclear Dawn, Team Fortress 2, Dead Island and Renegade Ops. Since a lot of you are interested in these games, we decided to include all of them in one post. As always, these patches will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and you can find the changelog for Nuclear Dawn and Team Fortress 2 after the jump. Unfortunately though, we do not have a changelog yet for Dead Island and Renegade Ops, although we do know that Renegade Ops now gives you the option to set up the screen resolution. PC gamers, meet Secrets of Grindea; a 16bit JRPG with 4player Co-Op coming to PC in 2012

Now as you all know, I love all those 16bit SNES/Mega-Drive JRPGs. So, PC gamers, meet another promising indie 2D RPG that is coming to our beloved platform. Secrets of Grindea is developed by a three-man team, consisted of Fred Strom, Teddy Sjostrom and Vilya Svensson and looks simply amazing. Damn how I miss those days. The game is slated for a 2012 release and will feature co-op support with up to 4 players. The team has just released a video that that showcases their game and can be viewed bellow. Enjoy! Editorial – Scripted events are killing the gaming experience

Oh boy, here we go again with the scripted events. I’m pretty sure you’ve heard it before that those dreadful scripted events, which are included in most modern-day titles, are killing the whole gaming experience. There is a lot of argue about it, and to be honest, both sides are right. On one hand, scripted events give a cinematic feel, a more intense – albeit ‘fake’ – experience that could not be achieved with any other way. On the other hand, however, these same scripted events are hurting the dynamic nature of the games.
