Flight sim fans, get ready for some drooling new screenshots from Falcon 4.0’s amazing mod, BMS 4.2. This mod is basically a total re-creation of MicroProse’s flight sim and enhances it with updated avionics, new flightmodel, updated DX9 graphics, new sounds, new game engine and new 3d models. Leading Japanese massively multiplayer online (MMO) game publisher Gamepot Inc. is continuing its march to bring Wizardry Online to gamers around the world. Launching the open beta in Japan last week to an overwhelmingly positive response, Gamepot quickly added multiple new servers to accommodate the more than 100,000 sign-ups acquired on the first day of testing alone. Commercial service is now live in Japan and Gamepot is working to deliver an English version to fans in the U.S. and Europe in early 2012. Nadeo has announced that they will present the map editor of ShootMania Storm this Saturday at Paris Games Week. In case you were unaware of, ShootMania is an upcoming first-person shooter video game by Ubisoft and Nadeo. Umbra Software released the first teaser trailer of their upcoming action, hack n slash RPG, Umbra. Although we don’t have a lot of information about it, the game’s official site states that the game uses Crytek’s CryEngine 3 and it definitely looks amazing. Most importantly though is that it retains that old-school atmosphere that all other hack n slash RPGs lack. Wolfire Games released a new video for their upcoming action-brawler adventure game, Overgrowth, in which the company’s main programmer – David Rosen – showcases the changes that were made to the game’s latest alpha version. Overgrowth Alpha 153 supports now split-screen for local multiplayer, cloth foley sounds for choke animation, as well as better pathfinding AI during circle-strafe. Nothing seems to be able to top RAGE, although iD Software’s little gem has some technical issues and PC gamers have been constantly complaining about its visuals. RAGE is still at the top place of the PC retail and digital Steam charts which is a good sign for the game’s sales.
