2K Games released a new trailer that showcases the backstory behind their upcoming FPS, The Darkness II. Currently in development with Digital Extremes and based on the supernatural horror comic book series created by Top Cow Productions, The Darkness II promises to deliver a brutal and personal narrative as gamers take control of Jackie Estacado. Konami has released a day-one patch for the latest version of their arcade soccer game, Pro Evolution Soccer. This patch adds Facebook tie-in features and improvements to the gameplay AI. Bad news for all those PC gamers that were looking forward to Ubisoft’s post-apocalyptic action/adventure game, I Am Alive. I Am Alive was engineered to create a convincing, post-disaster world in which players are faced with thought-provoking choices and we were quite shocked that the official announcement that was released yesterday didn’t mention the PC platform at all. Since we got our review code of PES 2012, we decided to upload a full-length match between England and Portugal at the Top Class difficulty. The review code is exactly the same as the retail one, so don’t expect to see changes between them. As you will obviously notice, there are still some issues – the very same ones – that plague the PES series. However, it’s a fact that PES 2012 is definitely better than last year’s offering. Now that’s a great looking space game. Gaijin Entertainment has just released twelve mind-blowing screenshots of their upcoming dynamic new MMO space action game, Star Conflict. Although there is a sharpening filter in – pretty much – every screenshot, we have to say that this is one of the best graphically space games we’ve ever seen. Star Conflict looks sweet and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. It’s coming exclusively to the PC, although there hasn’t been a specific release date as of yet.
