With the release of The Witcher 2’s version 2.0 two days away, CD Projekt RED released the official changelog for it. Alongside the new Tutorial mode and the Dark Difficulty, this upcoming patch features over 40 changes, improvements and additions. The combat mechanics have been tweaked and there are some changes that might please all those that criticized The Witcher 2’s fighting system. Trendy Entertainment has released the final character class trailer for its upcoming co-op/action-RPG/tower-defense game, Dungeon Defenders! Combining the best elements of a variety of genres and offering a level of depth no other in this category has yet reached, Dungeon Defenders will be available for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC on October 19, with a PlayStation Network release date to be revealed soon. Wolfire Games released a new video that showcases the changes that were made to Overgrowth’s latest alpha version. This week, David added controller support to the game, changed config key binding system to be more flexible, improved procedural stance animation and AI patrol pathfinding. Ubisoft released a new version of their CG trailer that was first shown at E3. This latest version features Ezio’s monologue while he follows Altair’s steps in search for the one and only truth. In Revelations, Ezio is trying to find clarity and the wisdom that was left behind by Altair in order to better understand the purpose of their fight and his place in it. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is currently slated for a November release on PS3 and X360 – we are not including PC as we are certain that Ubisoft will delay it at the last minute. As we’ve mentioned a lot of times, PhysX was lacking in terms of multithread support and as a result of that, most PC games that featured hardware accelerated PhysX effects were plagued with low GPU usage. In other words, PhysX is bugged and in an attempt to fix those major issues, Nvidia released a new version of the PhysX SDK that offers better multithread support.
