UK PC Charts: The Sims 3: Generations and Football Manager 2011 still at the top

Another week, another UK PC Charts. As with previous week, The Sims 3: Generations and Football Manager 2011 are still at the top of the charts. The Sims 3 and Portal 2 managed to gain one and two places respectively, while SEGA’s Shogun 2: Total War is still at the fifth place. F.E.A.R. 3 lost four places, while both The Witcher 2 and World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm moved down one place. Sikkmod v1.1 released for Doom3 and Resurrection Of Evil

Sikkpin has just released an updated version of his amazing mod for both Doom3 and Resurrection of Evil. In case you were unaware, Sikkmod is a general enhancement mod for Doom 3 and its expansion pack: Resurrection of Evil, designed to update the game to a more modern level visually, allow some customizations gameplay wise, as well as including fixes and better organization to stock files to be used as a base for future mods. MaLDo’s HD Texture Pack version 2.0 for Crysis 2

As we’ve informed you last month, MaLDo released some spectacular textures for Crysis 2. However, that texture pack was compatible only with the 1.1 version of the game and since Crytek has finally released the latest patch which basically unlocks the modding functionality of the game, MaLDo decided to update his pack and make it compatible with Crysis 2’s 1.9 version. F.E.A.R. 3 PC Patch is now Live

It’s a fact that the PC version of Day 1 Studios’ latest FPS title was plagued by a weird stuttering effect when the game was running at a really high framerate. And since it really pissed off most PC gamers, the company decided to release a patch to fix it and offer – among other things – an option to adjust your FOV and support for wider than 16×9 aspect ratio displays. Hi-Rez Studios explains their Loadout System – Loadouts can be acquired through gameplay

A lot of PC gamers whined when Hi-Rez Studios revealed that Tribes Ascend’s Loadouts can be purchased and in an attempt to calm them down, the company released an interesting FAQ on their forums. After reading, we have to say that there is really no reason to worry guys, as Loadouts can also be acquired through gameplay. Moreover, all Loadouts will be balanced, players will have access to multiple load-outs per match and each and every one of them has five usable items: a specific armor, an in-hand weapon, another in-hand weapon, a belt slot, a Pack, and a melee weapon. Randy Pitchford admits that they shouldn’t have announced Aliens: Colonial Marines so early

During his latest interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine, Randy Pitchford admitted that both Gearbox and SEGA should have just shut the hell up about Aliens: Colonial Marines. Randy has also admitted that it was a grave mistake to announce the game so early. That announcement was basically a result of Gearbox’s excitement, as they hadn’t even written the first line of code for it back then. Hunted: The Demon’s Forge PC Performance Analysis
