THQ is closing Kaos Studios – Homefront 2 plans revealed

Wow. That was quite unexpected to be honest. THQ announced yesterday that Kaos Studios will be closed. Kaos Studios was behind the successful FPS game, Homefront, that sold over 2.6 million units and exceeded all expectations. And it’s quite shocking witnessing its closure. Nintendo fans, get ready to be amazed as Cevat Yerli announced that CryEngine 3 will power Nintendo’s next-generation console. That’s right. Wii U will be powered by CryEngine 3. This is the second high-end game engine that has been confirmed for Wii U, given the fact that Batman: Arkham City was showcased at Nintendo’s conference (which basically means that Unreal 3 Engine will be compatible with Wii U). Age Of Empires Online Packshot

Microsoft revealed the packshot of Age Of Empires Online. As you would expect, the game requires an internet connection at all times and is rated 12. It will use Games For Windows Live and the retail version will include some bonus items, as well as a download card.
