Remedy has released a brand new update for its latest horror game, Alan Wake 2. Patch 1.0.8 is around 3.5GB in size on PC, and it comes with over 200 improvements and fixes.
Update 1.0.8 is here to fix some important problems in the game. This update takes care of a few game-breaking issues. For example, it fixes Rose’s dialogue choices which sometimes were not selectable. It also resolves a rare issue with Saga’s lines not playing when going to the Sheriff’s Station. Plus, it fixes bugs that could prevent story-based conversations from happening. All of these issues could prevent you from progressing in the game. But now, thanks to this update, things should work much better. You can play the game without these problems getting in the way, and hopefully, you can have a great time finishing it.
Update 1.0.8 doesn’t stop at fixing just those game-breaking issues. It also makes some important changes in the game, such as fixing some issues with the Case Board, and with the in-game map. There was also a bug where Saga could get stuck in the game world. But this update resolves these issues and lets you move around properly. Remedy also made some improvements to lip sync. Moreover, it fixed various graphical issues in the environments.
For those playing the game on a PC, there are some PC-specific changes in this update. Remedy fixed a problem where your graphics settings would reset when starting the game. The team also made sure that the mouse cursor doesn’t disappear in the menus. It should always be there when you need it.
As always, Epic Games Store will download this latest update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its full changelog. Be also sure to check out our PC Performance Analysis, as well as our “DLSS 3.5, Ray Tracing and Path Tracing” benchmarks.
