Remedy has released Title Update 1.1.0 for Alan Wake 2, and it has shared its full patch notes. Among other things, this latest patch introduces a Photo Mode and the Night Springs Expansion. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
As said, Patch 1.1.0 for Alan Wake 2 adds a Photo Mode. As such, players will be able to capture some really high-resolution artistic screenshots from it. To be honest, I’m not a fan of Photo Modes as a lot of users use them to falsely advertise a game’s visuals.
Anyway, alongside the Photo Mode, Title Update 1.1.0 also adds the Night Springs Expansion. This is a paid expansion and not a free DLC. Night Springs Expansion adds three new stories to the game. Moreover, it increases the manual save slots from 3 to 6, and it adds support for Razer Chroma.
This update also fixes some annoying bugs in the game. For example, it fixes a rare problem where your character would stop responding after falling down during a series of attacks. It also fixes several camera issues that happened on ultrawide monitors. Thus, you should now have a better gaming experience.
Remedy said this update also improves the lighting in some parts of the game. It also includes many small fixes and improvements to make the game better. Sadly, though, they didn’t provide more details about these improvements.
Alan Wake 2 was released in October 2023 and it’s one of the few triple-A games with Path Tracing effects on PC. Remedy has also addressed most of the issues we’ve reported. As of February 2024, the game has sold over 1.3 million units.
Like always, Epic Games Store will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
