DICE has announced that the highly anticipated Update 3.2 for Battlefield 2042 will release next week. This patch will introduce our familiar Class system to the game, allowing you to play as Assault, Engineer, Recon and Support. Furthermore, it will allow you to customize your class with Class Equipment, Class Gadgets and Weapon Proficiencies.
Update 3.2 will also bring improvements to the Breakaway Map, will add new Vault Weapons (M39 EMR, MTAR-21, PP-2000), and will introduce new Suppressor, Long-range Scope and Thermal Scopes. Additionally, the Active Protection System will become available for the M1A5 and T28.
Battlefield 2042 came out in October 2021 and ditched the Class system over Specialists. And while it took DICE one and a half years, it’s good to see the return of the Class system. Better late than never I guess.
As always, Origin and Steam will download this patch once it becomes available next week. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
