Bethesda has just released the May 13th Title Update for Fallout 4, and it shared its full patch notes. This latest patch mainly focuses on bug fixes on the PC. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
For those unaware, Bethesda claimed a few days ago that this patch would include new options for graphics and performance settings. However, it appears that these settings are only for consoles. So, no. Don’t expect uncapped framerates on PC. Don’t also expect any new graphics settings like Ray Tracing.
From what we can see, this patch has just a few bug fixes for PC. For instance, it fixes a visual issue with certain image spaces. It also resolves issue with character name field when in widescreen mode. Plus, it addresses an issue that occasionally caused bundles to not fully download and could cause a crash. And… well… that’s all.
In short, don’t expect much from this latest update. We also don’t know whether or not it will, once again, break compatibility with mods. So, if you want to stay in the safe zone, you can prevent Steam from updating the game. You can find out how here.
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this update and I’m still disappointed. But hey, that’s what you’d expect from Bethesda. After all, Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update had numerous issues on consoles, and this patch aims to somehow fix them. So, this is mainly a console update.
If you don’t prevent Steam from updating the game, you can expect it to download and install the patch the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
