Jetpack Interactive has released the first patch for the PC version of God of War: Ragnarok, and shared its full changelog. So, let’s see what are the fixes that this first update brings to the table.
According to the release notes, this first major update fixes some issues with NVIDIA’s techs. For instance, it fixes the issue where NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation would not work. As such, RTX 40 series owners can use it over AMD FSR 3.1 FG. Additionally, it fixes an issue with NVIDIA Reflex which would show as disabled in the UI when enabling Frame Generation. Moreover, it resolves some timing markers with NVIDIA Reflex.
It’s also worth noting that the game will no longer block GPUs with less than 6GB of VRAM from launching the game. Thus, you will no longer have to use a mod to bypass it. However, the devs still recommend using a GPU with 6GB of VRAM.
Jetpack has also addressed an audio issue that annoyed a lot of PC gamers. With this update, surround sound will not apply stereo audio mixing. Thus, it will no longer cause some sounds to be too quiet or loud.
These are pretty much all the complaints I had about the game. So, the fact that Jetpack has fixed them so quickly is great news for pretty much everyone.

- Fixed an issue where controls would not work during quicktime events if Interact/Evade were swapped in addition to having Steam Input enabled
- Fixed an issue on Steam Deck with a button not being mapped blocking completing a tutorial moment
- No longer blocking GPUs with less than 6GB of VRAM from launching the game
