Arrowhead Game Studios has just released the first PC patch for Helldivers 2. According to the team, this update aims to improve matchmaking and reduce the crashes that PC gamers have been experiencing.
Arrowhead has not shared any changelog for this first PC update. So, we can assume that this patch solely focuses on improving matchmaking and reducing crashes.
The team has also stated that it’s continuing to add fixes and improvements in the pipeline for the most serious issues that affect core gameplay. However, there is no ETA on when the next update will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
The developers have also acknowledged the performance issues that all owners of the AMD Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs are facing. From the looks of it, the game underperforms on these particular GPUs. Arrowhead is currently looking into it. Again, though, there is no ETA on when we’ll get a patch to fix these issues.
Helldivers 2 is currently the biggest Playstation launch on Steam. The game has managed to hit a peak of 81K concurrent players, surpassing both Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and God of War.
Helldivers 2 is a squad-based third-person shooter. In this game, players will enlist in the Helldivers and join the fight for freedom across a hostile galaxy.
The game is powered by a custom game engine, the Bitsquid Engine. Additionally, it is using the nProtect GameGuard protection system.
