First Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Patch Released, Bringing Performance Improvements & 300+ Bug Fixes


KT Racing has just released the first major patch for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, and shared its full changelog. According to the devs, this first update brings a number of performance tweaks and improvements. Moreover, it packs over 300 bug fixes.

This first patch also comes with major server/network improvements improvements. For instance, it fixes login errors, lobbies and races disconnections, and save issues. Additionally, it fixes some other specific server-related problems.

KT Racing claims that the game will now run better on most PC systems. As the devs noted, global framerate while maintaining the same graphics quality will be higher. Since I still have the game installed, I’ll give it a go. IF there are double-digit improvements, I’ll make sure to write a new article about it.

It’s also worth noting that this update improves pathfinding of GPS, and it fixes cases where AI would drive in the opposite way after finishing a race. Plus, it fixes cases of hardlock after the first race of the onboarding.

KT Racing also claims that this update will improve support for peripherals like steering wheels and shifters. Plus, the patch improves support for ultra-wide monitors.
