Nixxes has released the fourth title update for the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima. This update is, once again, 6GB in size and below you can find its full patch notes. So, let’s take a closer look at the changes, tweaks and fixes it brings.
Patch 4 updates the PlayStation PC SDK to version 2.5 with support for processors that lack AVX2 instructions. Therefore, older CPUs that do not support AVX2 will now be able to launch the game. This will definitely please a number of PC gamers, so kudos to Nixxes for updating the SDK.
Moreover, Title Update 4 brings stability improvements to AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Generation. Thus, FSR 3.0 FG should feel better now. Again, this is amazing news for those who want to use this Frame Generation setting.
Furthermore, this latest patch fixes an issue that could cause facial textures to be displayed incorrectly when running out of video memory. It also fixes an issue that could cause shadows to appear smeared for a few frames. Not only that but the gyro functionality of controllers can now also be used when Steam Input is enabled.
Alongside Horizon: Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima is the best port of a PlayStation game on PC. Nixxes has done a terrific job. Yes, the game does not have any new Ray Tracing effects. However, it runs silky smooth on PC. And even though it’s an open-world game, it does not suffer from any traversal stutters.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. You can also find below its full patch notes. Oh, and make sure to read our PC Performance Analysis.
