God of War: Ragnarok Patch 4 Released, Fixing Texture Streaming, NVIDIA Memory Leaks & AMD FSR Issues

Jetpack Interactive has released Title Update 4 for the PC version of God of War: Ragnarok. According to the update notes, this patch fixes some NVIDIA memory leaks and AMD FSR issues. It also addresses some texture streaming issues. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

Patch 4 fixes a problem with NVIDIA Streamline that caused memory leaks when changing between different Frame Generation settings. It also solves several issues with the login process. Not only that but the update addresses some crashes. Thus, the game should be now more stable.

As said, this update fixes a couple of texture streaming issues. For instance, it addresses an issue where game textures would unload while looking at the menu for a period of time. It also fixes an issue where textures and models would be shown loading in while using fast travel through the Realm Between Realms. However, there are still some texture streaming issues when you go back to the Title Screen.

Update 4 comes with some AMD FSR fixes. For example, it fixes AMD FSR-FG flickering when in the pause menu. It also resolves some AMD FSR-FG performance and frame pacing issues. So, in theory, AMD FSR FG should work better than before. Plus, the patch fixes a small memory leak that could occur when switching AMD FSR-FG on and off.

Finally, Patch 4 fixes an issue where Steam Input would not work when playing in Offline mode. Oh, and it also fixes an issue where the DualSense controller would not work wirelessly.

It’s also worth noting that on Friday, Jetpack Interactive released another patch for GoW: Ragnarok. That patch fixed a problem where the HDR setting could reset. So now, you won’t have to re-enable it each and every time you launch the game. It also solved many VRAM memory leaks and issues. For example, it changed the VRAM texture cache system to use less VRAM, which could help prevent performance from getting worse over time.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
