Avalanche Software has released the February 27th Patch for Hogwarts Legacy, and shared its complete changelog. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.
Title Update 1344582 implements extended NVIDIA frame generation features. I don’t really know what the devs mean by this. What are these extended NVIDIA frame generation features? After all, owners of an RTX50 series GPU could use DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Gen since January 30th. We’ve tested MFG X4 in Hogwarts Legacy and found it to be pretty great. So, I highly recommend using it (provided you have an RTX50 series GPU and your base framerate is above 40FPS).
The February 27th Patch also adds support for Intel’s frame generation features (XeFG). This appears to be the first game that supports Intel XeSS 2. Intel XeSS 2 is exclusive to the Intel GPUs. As such, you will be able to use XeSS 2 Frame Generation only with the Intel Arc GPUs. Thankfully, XeSS 2 FG works on both Alchemist and Battlemage.
This patch also comes with some gameplay fixes. For instance, it fixes an issue where silent restart would fail when using mods. It also fixes a problem where basic attacks would leave blank impact marks on surfaces.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
