Nixxes has just launched Title Update 1.2.48.0 for the PC version of Horizon: Forbidden West. This new patch is designed to make the game more stable and run smoother on the PC. It also targets and fixes some stutters that could occur in certain parts of the game.
It’s also worth noting that this patch will fix a visual corruption that could occur on the map when using AMD Radeon RX 6000 GPUs. Moreover, opening the Weapon Wheel now puts the mouse pointer in the center of the wheel. There are also some various UI bugfixes.
For those wondering, no. This patch does not bring any improvements or enhancements for left-handed players. That’s a bummer. Not only that but Nixxes has not commented yet when – and if – it will provide any improvements for left-handed gamers.
In future patches, Nixxes plans to slightly improve the game’s performance. Let’s also hope that they will add support for AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Generation.
Horizon: Forbidden West is perhaps the most polished game that Nixxes has ported from PS4/PS5. Even at launch, the game ran great on the PC. There were some issues, but the game did not suffer from some of the issues we saw in Nixxes’ previous PC titles. So that’s at least great news. Nixxes will be also responsible for the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima. So, fingers crossed it will be as good as Horizon Forbidden West.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. This patch is relatively small (it’s around 3MB in size and no, that’s not a joke). Below you can also find its complete changelog.
