Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Update 1.212.1.0 Released, Patch Notes

Nixxes has released a new patch for the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table, shall we?

Title Update 1.212.1.0 temporarily removes Anti-Lag 2 to improve stability on AMD GPUs. Nixxes and AMD stated that they will bring it back in the future, though there is no ETA for when this will happen.

This latest patch also comes with various crash fixes. As such, the game should be more stable now on your PC system. For instance, it fixes a crash that could occur in the final Mysterio mission while wearing the Bodega Cat Suit. It also fixes a crash that could occur when closing the menu while an audio fragment is playing.

Moreover, this update fixes a bug that could cause character eyes to appear darkened or flickering. Furthermore, it will now allow you to use NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction at Native resolution and with Ultra Performance upscaling. It will also improve screen space reflections. Plus, it improves adjustability of Mouse Sensitivity.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 had numerous issues when it launched on PC. So, it’s at least good to see Nixxes addressing some of them. From what I can see, there aren’t any major performance tweaks. Thus, the game won’t magically run faster on older GPUs, like the NVIDIA RTX20 or RTX30 series GPUs.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
