Microsoft has announced that a new beta update for Microsoft Flight Simulator will release soon, adding support for both AMD FSR 2.0 and NVIDIA DLSS 3.
Beta Update 1.29.22.0 will also have a new memory fragmentation system for DX12 to limit maxed-out VRAM. Furthermore, it will improve atmospheric simulation with a big focus on Thermals and general tweaks for the CFD. It will also resolve several crashes.
It’s also worth noting that HDR10 will now work properly when launching the title in fullscreen mode on PC. Additionally, there will be quality-of-life fixes for live traffic.
There is currently no exact ETA on when this new patch will come out. Here is also a video showcasing the benefits of DLSS 3.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
