PUBG Corporation has released Title Update 33.1 for its battle royale game, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and shared its full patch notes. This update adds destructible terrain to Sanhok, and brings a number of visual improvements to the whole game. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
The biggest feature of Patch 33.1 is the addition of the destructible terrain to Sanhok. This means that players will be able to destroy buildings, structures, and objects. You can destroy them by using Frag Grenade, Mortar, Panzerfaust, Sticky Bomb, C4, and the Red Zone.
Each building material will have different durability, and buildings made of steel or stone are only partially destructible. Moreover, some objects will be indestructible. So, it’s not like you can level the entire map. Still, this new destructible environment can provide a better gaming experience.
Alongside the destructible map, Update 33.1 brings numerous visual improvements. For instance, the devs have redesigned the rice field areas throughout the map. The devs have also redesigned the river areas on the left side of Bootcamp, and improved the overall visuals of buildings in Sanhok.
And that’s not all. Patch 33.1 enhances the texture of Clear weather, as well as the textures of certain plants. It also improves and adds textures for cliffs and rocks.
The visual improvements do not stop here. As the devs stated, severall environmental elements have been replaced and improved. Players can also expect to find new foliage, such as bushes and grass. A new plant, the banana tree, has been added. There are also additional palm trees in the central area, as well as new fences, fields and house sets.
In short, PUBG will now look better than ever. Now I’m certain that during your playthrough, you won’t be able to immediately notice these changes. Unless of course you’re a die-hard fan who has been constantly playing it. Still, these visual enhancements are much appreciated.
