Team Ninja has just released the March 25th Patch, also known as Patch 1.09.0.2, for Rise of the Ronin and shares its full changelog. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.
The March 25th Patch adds a new option, called ”Graphics Mode”. This setting allows you to choose between “Prioritize Graphics” and “Prioritize FPS”. When set to “Prioritize FPS,” the game will automatically adjust graphics settings to maintain performance if the game falls to slow-motion.
Moreover, Team Ninja has brought some optimization tweaks. The devs claim that they have made adjustments to optimize settings that were particularly demanding on performance, which were the main causes of frame rate drops. As such, the game should now run faster on your PC system.
The March 25th Title Update also comes with a number of fixes. For instance, it fixes an issue where performance load increased during specific cut scenes. It also fixes an issue where, on rare occasions, loading would continue indefinitely when using the menu or when starting cut scenes. Plus, the game should be more stable now. Team Ninja stated that it has fixed an issue where crashes would occur.
Sadly, I have uninstalled the game, so I can’t really test the patch. I also don’t see any fix for the flickering issues I’ve reported on QLED/OLED monitors. So, that’s kind of a bummer.
Like always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
