Ninja Theory has released the May 31st Title Update for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. According to the release notes, the May 31st Patch reduces the FSR 3.0 artifacts, something that will improve overall image quality (for those using this upscaling tech).
Not only that but this update fixes some ghosting issues that could appear when running Frame Generation. Frame Generation is a must for this game, especially when running it at 4K with Max Settings.
Furthermore, this update fixes the case of some animated objects were invisible during gameplay. It also fixes instances of black marks appearing on faces around beards and fine hairs on Low preset. Plus, it addresses a few cases of memory leaks game-wide.
There are also some minor QoL improvements. For instance, combat crowd push events during a big battle have been adjusted for a better combat experience. It also adjusts the combat events during the Thórgestr battle at the end of Chapter 1. There are also tree collision fixes in the Chapter 2 settlement puzzle.
Before closing, I highly recommend using these tweaks to remove the black bars, Chromatic Aberration, Film Grain and Depth of Field. Right now, you can also retain the original aspect ratio, meaning that the game won’t be zoomed in when you remove the black bars. Oh, and let’s not forget this VR Mod which also introduces a first-person perspective.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can find its complete changelog. Also, be sure to check out our PC Performance Analysis.
