Star Wars Jedi Survivor new feature

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Patch 6.5 released and detailed

Electronic Arts has just released Patch 6.5 for Star Wars Jedi Survivor, and shared its complete changelog. According to Respawn, this is a small update that addresses some bugs. Therefore, you should not expect any major performance improvements or optimization enhancements.

For what it’s worth, Respawn claims that it still has another patch on the way in the near future. Realistically, though, I don’t expect that patch to fix the game’s stuttering issues.

I mean, take a look at the changelog of this update. As you can see, there is no word about a fix for the PC crashing issues on Jedha when using Ray Tracing. And, ironically, a modder has already fixed this issue via a mod. So, if Respawn can’t even fix a simple thing like that, do you honestly believe that it will optimize its data streaming mechanics? Nope, that’s not going to happen.

Moreover, Respawn has not revealed any plans to add official support for NVIDIA DLSS 2 or DLSS 3. And that’s a shame because the game would greatly benefit from DLSS 3. At least we have this mod that adds support for DLSS 3 (even though it’s still behind a Patreon wall). So yeah, lovely stuff happening right now on PC. From developers excluding crucial PC techniques to paid mods. Man, what a time to be alive.

As we’ve showcased, there is a way to get a stutter-free experience on high-end CPUs. The downside to this workaround is that you’ll have to play the game at 30fps. My guess is that with the DLSS 3 Mod (and limiting the framerate to 60fps), NVIDIA RTX owners may be able to get a 60fps experience without stutters.

Anyway, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
