Bethesda has just released a new beta patch for Starfield. According to the release notes, Title Update 1.10.30 adds new poses and expressions for you and your companions.
Moreover, this new beta patch adds support for adjusting FOV when using third-person ship view. It also adds an autosave when fast travelling from a planet’s surface to orbit. Not only that but there is now an Anisotropic Filtering setting on PC.
Title Update 1.10.30 also updates the Ship UI to perform more smoothly at higher framerates. This is something we’ve been complaining about since November 2023. But hey, at least Bethesda listened to us and fixed it. So, better late than never I guess.
It’s also worth noting that Patch 1.10.30 removes the digipick cost for using Undo during the Security mini-game. Furthermore, it will now allow players to open doors and harvest with the scanner opened. Plus, setting course on an inactive quest will now make it the active quest.
For those wondering, this update does not seem to pack any performance improvements. YouTube’s ‘MxBenchmarkPC’ has tested this patch and there is only a 1-3fps difference between Update 1.9.67 and this new one. So yeah, don’t expect much from it.
Like always, Steam will download this latest beta patch the next time you launch its client. That is of course if you’ve opted into its beta phase. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
