Nixxes and Iron Galaxy have released the first Hotfix update for the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. This update is small, around 8MB, and fixes a couple of issues. So, let’s take a look at them.
Hotfix 1.0 makes changes to mouse input to improve detection of subtle aiming movements. Moreover, the Upscale Sharpness slider will now give improved control over sharpening. This is a huge improvement as the game looked oversharpened before.
This latest hotfix also improves overall stability. To be more precise, it fixes a crash that could occur when playing at 1440p resolutions with Volumetric Quality set to Medium. It also fixes a crash that could occur while erratically moving the mouse in the menu before starting a new game.
For those wondering, this hotfix does not fix the issues on NVIDIA GPUs with Rebar. In case you were not aware, Rebar can reduce performance in this title on high-end NVIDIA GPUs. For optimal performance, you’ll have to disable Rebar from your BIOS.
Nixxes and Iron Galaxy have stated that they are currently monitoring all the feedback they’ve received. However, there is no ETA for when the first major patch will come out.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can find its complete changelog.
