The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Patch 1.1 Released & Detailed

Nixxes has just released the first update for the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, and shared its patch notes. According to the team, this first patch comes with some performance improvements. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

Update 1.1 has performance improvements to address long stalls that could occur in Downtown Seattle. However, it does not improve performance in Jackson City. I’ve tried that area on our AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D with an NVIDIA RTX 5090, and I didn’t see any performance improvements. So, don’t expect any performance miracles from this first update.

Patch 1.1 also fixes a crash that could occur when using Steam Input. Plus, it resolves an issue when watching the Grounded II Documentary that caused audio and video to not be in sync.

From what I can see, this is a small update and not a major one. Nixxes has stated that it’s aware of player reports of autosave issues. However, it has not acknowledged yet the weird performance issues on NVIDIA GPUs with Rebar.

For what it’s worth, I’ve informed NVIDIA about them. So, hopefully we’ll get a fix for those issues via a new driver update or a new game patch.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
