Iron Gate has released a new title update for its exploration and survival game, Valheim. According to the release notes, Patch 0.217.46 brings fixes to the minimap, as well as to dungeon generation and portals. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
Title Update 0.217.46 changes the names of minimap cache files to include “Cache”. It also allows mountains above 200 in height to be visible in the minimap. Additionally, it resolves an issue that could cause the minimap to flicker with the names of pins.
This new patch fixes an issue where dungeons were much smaller and had worse loot when generated. Moreover, portals are no longer connected after the connected portal is destroyed.
It’s also worth noting that Update 0.217.46 helps load stuff faster by fixing a problem with threading. So, when you’re waiting for things to load in your game, it should be quicker now. Plus, it sorts out an issue with asset loading system’s “operation to loader” dictionaries.
As always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. That is of course if you’ve opted into its Public Test Beta phase. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
Before closing, we should mention some mods that you can use in this game. From what I know, these mods are compatible with this latest version of it. So, there is a mod that adds The Witcher 3’s Geralt, Ciri, Triss & Yennefer to the game. Plus, there is a Diablo Immortal-inspired 8K map you can download. You can also find mods that add bears, lockable doors, airships, and runestones. Let’s also not forget this mod that adds a Hardcore Server Mode. If you want the game to look better, you can also download this 4K Texture Pack. It’s also worth noting that there is a role-playing prequel expansion mod for it. Finally, you can download this mod that adds an Experience & Level Up RPG System to the game, as well as this mod that introduces seasons to the game world. Oh, and here are also all the Best Valheim Mods that you can download right now.
