Modder ‘RX9000’ has released a must-have HD LOD Mod for Fallout 4 that improves the game’s distant objects and textures. Since this mod will improve the game’s dated LODs and will reduce objects/environmental pop-ins, it is a must for everyone who wants to replay this Fallout game.
According to the modder, this is a beautiful, modern LOD Mod with defined textures, and more 3D models. UltraLOD Feather attempts to have minimal pop-in with all resources optimized to the maximum to obtain the maximum possible performance.
Going into slightly more tech details, the pack features terrain textures that were formed in 512. The modder has also edited these improved textures to remove the pattern using a grain blend filter.
In order to showcase the visual improvement that this mod brings, RX9000 shared the following comparison screenshots. Fallout 4 Vanilla is on the left, whereas the modded version of the game is on the right.
You can download the UltraLOD Mod for Fallout 4 from here.
In theory, this mod should be compatible with the other packs that we’ve shared. Thus, you should be able to use it alongside this pack that overhauls all armor and clothes. It should also be compatible with this 4K Pack that overhauls all robots, as well as with this 8K Mod that improves the bricks of all buildings and interiors. You should also be able to use it with this pack that improves almost all of its creatures, as well as with this mod that adds 10 thousand trees.
Before closing, we should mention some upcoming DLC-sized mods for Fallout 4. Fallout New Vegas Remake in Fallout 4 is a mod we’re really looking forward to. Then we have the Fallout London fan expansion. And let’s not forget Fallout: Miami. All of them look interesting, though there is no ETA on when they will come out.
Enjoy!
