Modder ‘deeppurple1968’ has released a new AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack for Half-Life 2. This pack upscales all of the game’s textures by four times using the neural network Topaz A.I. Gigapixel.
Moreover, this mod partially includes higher resolution upscaled files from Half Life 2 High Quality Texture Replacements, Garry’s Mod NPC Enhancements, HQ 2k Airboat texture, HL2 High-Quality Main Character Skin Pack and some leaked texture sources. All of these custom textures have been adjusted and are fully consistent with the original HL2 textures.
This HD Texture Pack for Half-Life 2 is 6.8GB in size, and you can download it from here. Below you can also find a video comparison between the original and the modded textures.
Speaking of Half Life 2, here are some other cool mods for it. For instance, here is a VR Mod that works wonderfully with it, and we highly recommend trying it. Entropy: Zero 2, a mod with a brand new campaign spanning seven chapters of content, is also available for download. You can also download a demo for a fan sequel to Opposing Force, Half-Life: Through The City. Finally, Half-Life 2 Path Tracing and Half-Life 2 Remastered are two highly anticipated mods that are currently in development. Oh, and let’s not forget Half Life 2 RTX Remix which NVIDIA revealed in August.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
