YouTube’s ‘Digital Dreams’ has shared a video, showcasing Starfield running at 8K on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with DLSS 3, Reshade Ray Tracing and 50+ mods. This heavily modded version of Starfield can give you an idea of how the game can look on PC. So, let’s take a look at it.

From what we can see, for the most part, Starfield runs with 100fps on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 at 8K with DLSS 3. However, in big cities, the framerate can drop to 80fps.

Looking at the Performance Overlay, the game’s performance seems a bit weird. At 8:17, we can clearly see the GPU usage at around 88% with the framerate at 85fps.

My guess is that this is due to the Reshade Ray Tracing. As we’ve said, Ray Tracing can also bring a noticeable CPU hit. Without Reshade Ray Tracing, Starfield runs with 165fps at 4K with DLSS 3. At least on our PC system which is a bit similar to what Digital Dreams used.

On the other hand, this mod lets you travel between planets in real-time. Oh, and we also have this mod which adds 50 new space encounters to the game. Finally, this mod brings a dynamic weather system into the game, and this mod improves the behavior of NPCs.
