Now here’s something really cool. Modder ‘Seb263’ has released a new cool mod for Skyrim: Special Edition. This mod, called Dismembering Framework, allows you to cut the limbs of your enemies in real-time during fights. But that’s not all. The mod also adds realistic blood effects and sounds that change depending on the type of armor and weapons being used. So, if you’re into Skyrim and want a more intense and realistic battle experience, this mod might be perfect for you.
This mod doesn’t use Papyrus scripts like other mods do. Instead, it works directly with the game engine to make dismemberments happen in real-time. This means there won’t be any noticeable delays, and the game will run smoothly without the usual lag from scripts. So, you’ll get a more immersive and seamless experience while playing. Cool, right?
Not only that, but the mod also makes sure limbs are cut off accurately. By using another mod called “Precision,” the game will cut off limbs exactly where you aim. This makes fatal attacks look even more realistic. And, in a way, it will remind you of Die by the Sword. Well, that is if you are an old-school PC gamer. So, if you want the best experience, remember to install the Precision mod along with this framework.
And that is not all. The mod adds realistic blood splatters with physics that are expelled from severed limbs until the body is drained. It also allows NPCs to dismember each other. And yes, this also includes all animals. Oh, and the mod can also work with other mods too. So that’s another cool thing to keep in mind.
In short, this is one of the best mods for Skyrim. This will greatly enhance the game’s combat, and we highly recommend using it. Even if you’ve played this game to death, with this mod, you will greatly improve your enjoyment.
You can download the mod from this link. Do note that you will also need Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64) and Address Library for SKSE Plugins. If you don’t have them, the mod will not work. You’ll also need SkyUI to configure the mod through the MCM. And as I said, you should also use the Precision Mod.
Now if you don’t have Skyrim installed, you can check out a video that I’ve included at the end of the article. This video will give you an idea of what this mod accomplishes. It’s a bit short though. In my opinion, the modder should have created a longer version. Still, it gets the job done. So, be sure to watch it.
The modder also released two special packs to make the mod even better. The first pack lets you dismember all the different playable races in the game. The second pack adds the ability to dismember various creatures and animals from the main game and its DLCs. To get the full experience, be sure to download these packs too. I’ve linked them above.
I now wonder whether such a mod can be possible for Starfield. After all, it uses a newer version of the Creation Engine. So, in theory, it should be possible. Right? Heh, guess we’ll soon find out.
Speaking of Skyrim, here are some big fan expansions for it. Wyrmstooth adds new quests and dungeons to the game. This other mod brings elements from The Witcher games into Skyrim. Dragon Hall Tavern is a huge 2GB mod that adds quests, new places, an arena, and more. Then there’s Land of Vominhem, Apotheosis and Legacy of the Dragonborn. Don’t forget to also check out this Castlevania-inspired mod. Shumer and the Priest Kings is another DLC-sized expansion mod with over 200 locations, 180+ quests and 8,500 lines of voiced dialogue. Oh, and here is another one that adds the cool Nemesis system from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor to it. Lastly, we have this mod that adds six new islands to explore.
But wait, there is more. Skyrim has other mods that do lots of cool stuff. So, be sure to check out our Best Skyrim Mods article. In that article, you will be able to find all of the mods we’ve shared for Skyrim over the past few years.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
