shadPS4 V0.2.0 is out but doesn’t have the latest Bloodborne fixes

The team behind the amazing PlayStation 4 emulator, shadPS4, has just released its latest version to the public. However, for those who want to test Bloodborne, know that this build does not have the latest tweaks and fixes for it.

Earlier this month, we shared the first screenshot of Bloodborne running on PC via shadPS4. Since then, the team has been working hard on improving things.

As you can see below, the game can now pass the Character Creation without crashing. Moreover, the Alpha Test Build for Bloodborne can go in-game. In the following video, you can get a glimpse of it.

While there is a black screen, the emulator does render a lot of the assets. Not only that but it does not crash while you are in the game. Still, from what the team said, the game remains really unstable.

shadPS4 is progressing at an insane speed. One year ago, I wouldn’t expect anything like that to be possible. But here we are with this PS4 emulator that may soon allow PC gamers to play Bloodborne. This is nuts.

As I’ve already said, though, shadPS4 V0.2.0 does NOT contain the aforementioned Bloodborne tweaks. I know I’m repeating myself but some of you may download it, expecting it to run it. No, it does not run it yet. However, it will allow you to run Red Dead Redemption Remastered at around 30fps on a high-end PC system.

shadPS4 is the seventh PS4 emulator that is in development. The other six are psOfffpPS4SpineRPCSXKyty and GPCS4. And all of them are way behind shadPS4.

You can download the latest version of shadPS4 from this link. For those wondering, shadPS4 brings big shader recompiler improvements. It also packs major core and GUI improvements.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
