Polycount’s member ‘bealtaine‘ has released some screenshots from her Alan Wake Remake in Unreal Engine 4 project. This fan project focuses on one scene from Alan Wake, The Triple D’s Oh Deer Diner, and recreates it in Unreal Engine 4.
The attention to detail in this fan project is astounding. This scene features a lot of high-resolution textures, and its lighting/shading is incredible. This scene looks like something you’d expect from a modern-day triple-A game. Seriously, everything looks top notch in this project.
The artist was also able to capture the feeling of the original game, so that’s a big plus in our books. Not only that, but this recreation gives us a glimpse at what an Alan Wake Remake could look like.
Unfortunately, bealtaine has not released this Alan Wake Remake project to the public. Thus, there is no way PC gamers can run it on their systems (and we know that everyone wants a new Alan Wake game or demo). We also don’t know the PC system this project needs in order to run with 60fps.
Nevertheless, you can find below some really high resolution screenshots from it. From what we know so far, Remedy is not working on a new Alan Wake game. So let’s hope that if Remedy ever makes a third Alan Wake game, it will look this good.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
