Back in February, we informed you about the classic Fort map from the first Far Cry game being recreated in CRYENGINE. During these months, Julian White has been working on his project. As a result, this project has gotten bigger as it now features the Fort and Pier levels combined into a singular open-world island. And since 2015 is almost at its end, Julian shared with us some new screenshots in order to showcase the progress that has been made to this project.
This “mini” fan remake of Far Cry will sport immaculate detail, as well as exciting new areas, features, easter eggs, ruins, and beautiful tropical vistas.
As Julian has noted, his project does not contain any Far Cry 1 assets as all are stock or built using the Cryengine Designer tool.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
